PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: MAC AMPLIFIED CREME LIPSTICK IN PETALS AND PEACOCKS (LIBERTY OF LONDON COLLECTION)

Here's an initial review on MAC AMPLIFIED CREME LIPSTICK IN PETALS AND PEACOCK (LIBERTY OF LONDON COLLECTION)

THE VERDICT:

I've sold my Nars Schiap because the color bored me, and for some weird reason, I find it it too flashy if I'm wearing it. It's a pretty color, but the color is too hot, making me look older than my age.

I actually have the guts to wear bold lip colors even if I'm just wearing a tank top and shorts. Lipstick is my accessory, and I feel incomplete without it.

After selling my Schiap, I set my eyes and budget on Give me Liberty of London's Petals and Peacocks. I was really eyeing MAC's Show Orchid from the Liberty of London collection. But I needed the hot pink lippie for my beach trip.

Let us now review the packaging. The bohemian- inspired print made this lipstick more than a make- up. It's a lovely accessory to your make- up kit/traincase. You can easily spot this in your bag, and the packaging is so far, the prettiest design MAC has ever released in my opinion.

Sorry, my crappy digicam didn't do justice to the shade. But this is lighter in actual. Promise! :P

Petals and Peacocks is Love. Let me tell you why I am head over heels with this lipstick.

PAP is in the Amplified creme formulation which makes this super creamy and easy to apply. It's less- drying than the satin ones.

PAP is not your ordinary hot pink lipstick. And the color is not fuschia. it's plain hot pink with violet undertones, which makes the color cool. It's a young lady's hot pink lipstick. It makes my face look vibrant. And the color stands out without making you look too made- up. Whether you want to sport a hot pink painted pucker from day to night, PAP is perfect.

The hot pink lippies that I've tried look quite alike when applied on my lips. And this is what made PAP unique. The cool tone of this lipstick made this a bit neon. And fret not when I say that the shade is a bit neon, because this neon pink lippie is very wearable!

Here's moi and hubby's final pic in Laiya before heading home. I'm wearing the PAP lippie here. And to morena and tanned ladies out there, PAP compliments our skin tones so much!

I've found the perfect hot pink lippie. Unfortunately, this is an LE item (boo!). If I empty this up, I'll try Show Orchid next time. It might be a similar color. :)

New Release: Les Reveurs Tee

Something new today! I'm releasing a tee for all dreamers at [MAGIC NOOK]. It is called Les Reveurs Tee and the print in French says 'Les temps sont durs pour les reveurs', which means 'Times are hard for dreamers'.

THE VERDICT:

So I've mentioned in a previous entry that Cassius Rose is one of the best smelling rose- scented perfumes that I've ever tried. But unluckily, I decided not to make it one of my go-to and must- buy scents 'cos the price is too costly for a very small bottle. I actually made my first bottle of this last for 4 months. After emptying two bottles, I settled for Bath and Body Work's Velvet Tuberose.

And to my surprise, I saw this baby on a crazy 70% off sale!

Weee! At last, I get to spritz on this lovely rose scent once again!

Lemme tell you why I love this so much. Cassius Rose, by far, is the most romantic rose- scented perfume that I've ever smelt. L'Occitane's smells like a plain, clean rose scent. While The Body Shop's Moroccan Rose smells a bit seductive, and BBW Velvet Tuberose, well, is a hybrid. Doesn't smell totally rose-y, but can pass off as one due to the rose base note.

I'm a hopeless romantic, and forgive my shallowness for saying that this perfume complements my personality. :D

However, the scent doesn't last that long. Around 2 hours, the most. This is EDT so a huge amount of it consists of water, so there goes the explanation as to why this scent doesn''t last that long.

Whenever I'm feeling overly girly or womanly, or romantic, I'm sure to pick this up from my perfume collection.

The sad part is, I think that TBS is slowly phasing this out because there were only a few bottles left. So if you're curious about this scent, a plain anything- rose- scented lover, or a Cassius Rose junkie, be sure to grab one (or all) now before it's gone.

HAUL FOR THE BEACH

Hauls for this week is for my beach trip to laiya with hubby. Ooooh...you can't imagine how excited I am! I actually even thought that we're going to leave tomorrow! haha. :)

Hauls from Speedo, Dimensione and Ace Hardware

Speedo beach shorts! I love the brand! :)

Beach mats! I got the blue one from Ace Hardware as well. And the colorful one is from Dimensione. Ah, that elusive beach mat. I saw it once in a display in Rustans. And when I went back to purchase, it was sold out. :( Good thing mom chanced upon this in Dimensione and she got it for me! Perfect! This even comes with an inflatable pillow. I'll show pics of this lovely beach mat in action in Laiya! :)

And this is from Ace Hardware. Using 3M's lint remover is kinda' costly so I decided to give this one a try. And it works! My bed is hair-free every night without having to waste too much of  3M's lint paper. :)

HAULS FROM LAST WEEK AND FOR THIS WEEK

Was a bit busy last week so I didn't get to post my hauls. :)

I need a face sunblock which I can use on a daily basis too. I don't like the sticky and heavy feeling of face sunblocks, which are meant for the beach only.

VMV Hypoallergenic's Armada Face Cover. This is quite good, now that it's reformulated. Will review this soon. :)

My all-time fave scent, Davidoff cool water for women. Got this from a fellow gtalker for 400php only! yay! :)

Bright colors such as Fuschia will make your tan look deeper. That's why I bought this because I'm wearin' this to my Laiya trip (I'M SOOO EXCITED!) :)
