Eurotech announces the launch of the Zypad WL1500 series of wearable computers. | Apple Sued Amazon.com for Using App Store Trademark Posted: 23 Mar 2011 01:52 AM PDT Amazon.com is now on fire. Apple has sued Amazon for using the term 'App Store' on its website. Amazon is going to introduce its own marketplace for Android apps and has called it Amazon App Store. Amazon App Store will be the first third-party Android Market that is scheduled to launch this month.
An Apple spokeswoman said: We've asked Amazon not to copy the App Store name because it will confuse and mislead customers Apple's Comments: "Amazon has begun improperly using Apple's App Store mark in connection with Amazon's mobile software developer program," Apple said in the complaint. Amazon also plans to use the name with a mobile software download service, the complaint states. Apple had applied for the patent to use the name 'App Store' in 2008 and got the approval in 2010. Apple has mentioned that it had contacted Amazon over this issue three times, however, haven't received any 'Substantive Response'. Youtube have also stretched their helping hand. Google has now launched the YouTube Person Finder – a tool it hopes will make it easier for missing people in Japan connect to their loved ones.
Tai Hasagawa, Product Marketing Manager at YouTube, announced the YouTube Person Finder on the YouTube blog. Tai writes: "Our hope is that this channel will help victims and their families to establish each other's safety, and that the video messages will reach many viewers and motivate them to contribute to the recovery and restoration of the disaster-stricken areas."
Currently, the channel hosts only a few dozen videos taken at shelters and shot by the Japanese station TBS; in the future, though, individuals will be able to upload their own messages. Those looking for loved ones can search by name, hometown or shelter. Like Google’s Person Finder, it’s a relatively simple creation with potentially massive implications for those involved. | ||

For those who don't know, basically, Turbo SIM spoofs the IMSI number and authentication key (Ki) supplied by the SIM card to the network, allowing locked phones to be used on any mobile network with which they are technically compatible. It copies the information from your AT&T SIM card and then the SIM to carrier of your choice. The commercial has been dubbed as "Pwnage". Previously it has also launched some few commercial.
The commercials feature Kristen Schaal, the obsessed and crazy fan “Mel” on Flight of the Conchords. The ads are garnering favorable attention from many who say they are original, quirky and hilarious. In the commercials, Schaal highlights the main features of the phone, including its downloading, kitten-watching, spreadsheet-editing functions. What may be surprising for some, is the fact that sexual innuendos as well as foul language has been used in these adverts. A little excerpt: The controls are faster, I can actually see the bastard. The iPhone 5 will also come with a new 'edge-to-edge' screen. This new design will allow Apple to offer a larger, 4-inch screen, without increasing the size of the phone.
