Avanti Communications Group plc, the broadband satellite operator is pleased to report that it formally completed in orbit testing of the HYLAS 1 satellite.The testing process confirmed that HYLAS 1 is working in conformance with specification and in some areas, delivering higher performance than originally specified. The satellite lifetime is expected to be at least six months greater than planned and the available power is several percentage points better than specification. This will translate into improved service quality, flexibility and usable capacity.
The provision of services on HYLAS 1 will now commence. The first live customer service in the UK will be installed next week. Avanti has a test customer base of 5,000 end users whose service is delivered with leased Ku band capacity. The migration of these customers to HYLAS 1 will begin on April 4th. Avanti has over 60 Virtual Network Operator customers in 16 countries in Europe who have bought capacity. Many of them are also migrating existing end user customers from leased Ku band capacity on other satellites and this migration also begins on April 4th.

According to Macworld Lab tests Apple iPad 2 has poor camera results for capturing pictures as compared to other tablets like Samsung Galaxy Tab and Motorola Xoom. Color Accuracy test and Exposure Quality : The test results shows that iPad 2 camera Color accuracy is same like Xoom and Galaxy Tab but it badly failed in Exposure quality tests.

| Download Seas0nPass for Windows to Jailbreak iOS 4.3 on Apple TV[How To] Posted: 15 Mar 2011 10:31 PM PDT Firecore has released an updated version of Seas0npass to jailbreak Apple TV on Windows. Currently the jailbreak by Seas0nPass is tethered for iOS 4.3 meaning you have to connect your ATV with PC to get jailbroken state on it. For those of you who don't know, Seas0nPastool is developed specifically to jailbreak Apple TV 2G devices and it will not work for other idevices running on iOS operating system. Necessary tools: * A micro-USB cable to connect Apple TV 2G with PC The steps are as follows. Step 1: Download and launch Seas0nPass. Step 2: After that select "Create IPSW" option to build your own custom jailbroken firmware for Apple TV as like the screenshot. Step 3: Wait for Seas0nPass to download all the files required for creating custom firmware. Step 4: When prompted by Seas0nPass, connect your Apple TV using a micro-USB cable (leave power disconnected), and hold-down both the 'MENU' and 'PLAY/PAUSE' buttons for 7 seven seconds. Step 5: iTunes should now open automatically to start the restore process. Step 6: iTunes will confirm the restore when complete. Once done, your Apple TV will be jailbroken on iOS 4.3. Since this is a tethered jailbreak, you will have to boot your Apple TV into "tethered-boot" mode for it to function in jailbroken state. The steps are as follows: Step 1: First open cydia from your "Homescreen" and go to the Search tab from Cydia, and search for "Safari Download Manager" and "iFile" for your respective iOS device and install both these apps. OCZ Technology Group Inc.,a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) for computing devices and systems announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Indilinx Co. Ltd, a privately held fabless provider of flash controller silicon and software for SSDs.Indilinx is headquartered in South Korea and currently sells its line of flash controllers to SSD manufacturers and Tier One OEMs for use in a broad array of products addressing multiple markets, including embedded and industrial as well as laptops and PCs. Indilinx controllers have been deployed within OCZ’s SSD products since December 2008 and are currently featured in the Z-Drive series of PCIe-based SSDs. Indilinx’s technology is expected to enable OCZ to expand its presence into the embedded, hybrid storage and industrial markets.OCZ will gain substantial intellectual property from Indilinx including approximately 20 patents and patent applications related exclusively to the business as part of the transaction. For example, the acquisition is expected to extend OCZ’s capabilities with advanced controller technology including Tinkerbell, a high performance eMMC 4.4 x controller that replaces SSDs in consumer electronic devices such as smartphones, tablet PCs, GPS units, and netbooks. Tinkerbell improves the user experience in consumer mobile devices for applications such as internet browsing, gaming, social networking applications, emails and multimedia play.
Following its acquisition by OCZ, Indilinx will continue to produce and supply its line of controller products to SSD manufacturers and OEMs on a global basis. The Indilinx controller business, and its 45 employees, will remain intact under the leadership of Bumsoo Kim, the founder and President of Indilinx and Hyunmo Chung, Indilinx’s Chief Technology Officer. OCZ will continue its own R&D program to develop new proprietary technologies and products to expand its own solid state drive offerings.The Indilinx acquisition notwithstanding, OCZ plans to continue utilizing controllers from other manufacturers including long-term partner SandForce, who currently supplies SSD processors for a wide range of the Company’s SSD products including the Vertex 2, Agility 2, RevoDrive, customizable Deneva enterprise drives and the upcoming Vertex 3 family of SSDs.
“This transaction is an important step in OCZ’s strategy and significantly enhances our ability to capitalize on the worldwide demand for Solid State Drives,” said Ryan Petersen, CEO of OCZ Technology Group. “This combination brings together two organizations that are committed to advancing solid state drive design, and provides a unique opportunity for OCZ to increase both customer and shareholder value as well as expand our reach into embedded markets.”Under the terms of the agreement, OCZ will acquire Indilinx for approximately $32 million of OCZ common stock. Indilinx shareholders will own approximately 9.5% of the OCZ shares outstanding after issuance of the shares. The transaction has been approved by the board of directors of each company and is expected to close within 30 days, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
